Our Story
Who We Are
The OMAK Cancer Foundation was founded by our CEO and Chairman after recognizing a critical need for cancer support and awareness in the Liberian community both in the UK and Liberia. This foundation is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer, starting with our community and extending to others across West Africa.
OUR MISSION is to provide comprehensive support to individuals and families affected by cancer. We strive to empower lives through awareness programs, financial assistance, and advocacy for improved healthcare services.
Primary Goals
Our Mission
Promoting Cancer Awareness:
• In Sheffield and Surroundings: Empowering the Liberian
community to speak out and self-test for cancer.
• Across West African Communities in Sheffield: Extending
our awareness efforts to the wider West African community.
• Throughout the United Kingdom: Promoting cancer
awareness and self-testing within the broader Liberian
diaspora.
Building a Cancer Awareness Centre in Monrovia, Liberia:
• Location: Johnsonville, a suburb of Monrovia.
• Facilities: Accommodation for partners, rooms for
medical equipment, conference hall, and pharmacy.
• Collaboration: Networking with international
organizations to achieve our mission.
